Laura Burrows is the Libertarian candidate for Public Education Commission District 4

Laura currently serves on University of New Mexico Los Alamos campus Advisory Board, a non-partisan elected position.

She has been an educator and researcher at the Smithsonian, the Chicago Field Museum, Director of Education Outreach at the Little Rock Aerospace Education Center, and educator at the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History, and a Board Member of the Pajarito Environmental Education Center.

“My mission as a member of the Public Education Commission will be to support the formation and re-certification of Charter Schools that will provide for a high quality tailored education for a wide variety of students in the government school system.

Of particular interest is vocational education so that students that are not going on to a University education can have relevant technical skills to enter the workforce once they complete their public high school education.”
