For Immediate Release

April 15, 2021 (ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) – District Court Judge T. Glenn Ellington today dismissed a lawsuit brought against Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver and the Libertarian candidate for House of Representatives, clearing the way for Chris Manning’s campaign to proceed.

In dismissing the suit, Judge Ellington found that the Libertarian Party had satisfied the requirements to maintain its major party status in New Mexico. The Court also found that the Petitioners lacked standing to pursue the claims filed.

“Naturally, we are pleased with the dismissal of this  suit, so that Chris can focus on campaigning hard for the people of New Mexico,” said Libertarian Party of New Mexico Chair Chris Luchini. “Chris Manning’scandidacy breathes fresh air into New Mexico’s stale political landscape, giving citizens a new option for representation beyond the old, tired red/blue spectrum.”

Manning is running on a platform of bringing positive change to New Mexicans through healthcare reform, school choice and bringing our troops home from senseless foreign wars.
